Have you ever met someone and become instant best friends, before even really knowing who they are? That isn`t quite what happened with me and Freya, but after living with her (and 39 other random people) on a boat in the middle of the ocean for 10 days, she became one of the best far-away friends a gal could ask for:) They all did, really. It`s one of those lifelong commitments that just sort of happens in a situation like such.
Freya and I were kind of forced into friendship when Sam put us on the list for night watch together on our first evening at sea. There we sat, in the middle of the night, in the middle of the ocean, in the middle of the deck. We hadn`t even spoken a word to each other before this and it was possibly one of the most awkward conversations I ever had in my life as I tried so hard to interact with this stranger while I was still half asleep. But it turned out alright. She is one of the funniest, most talented, huggable person I have ever known. Freya tells it like it is, and it`s hard to find someone like that these days. So Freya, thanks:) You rocked my boat.
