Have you ever met someone and become instant best friends, before even really knowing who they are? That isn`t quite what happened with me and Freya, but after living with her (and 39 other random people) on a boat in the middle of the ocean for 10 days, she became one of the best far-away friends a gal could ask for:) They all did, really. It`s one of those lifelong commitments that just sort of happens in a situation like such.
Freya and I were kind of forced into friendship when Sam put us on the list for night watch together on our first evening at sea. There we sat, in the middle of the night, in the middle of the ocean, in the middle of the deck. We hadn`t even spoken a word to each other before this and it was possibly one of the most awkward conversations I ever had in my life as I tried so hard to interact with this stranger while I was still half asleep. But it turned out alright. She is one of the funniest, most talented, huggable person I have ever known. Freya tells it like it is, and it`s hard to find someone like that these days. So Freya, thanks:) You rocked my boat.

267. back to december
"So this is me swallowing my pride,
Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that nightAnd I'd go back to December all the time
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you
Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine
I'd go back to December, turn around and make it all right
I'd go back to December all the time"
Yes, I just quoted Taylor Swift. Whatchya gonna do about it? She is cool, ok, I don`t care what you say. And she is friggen adorable. What twelve year old (may also substitute eighteen instead of twelve) wouldn`t idolize T-Swift?!
But srsly, these lyrics mean a lot to me. I don`t even know how the melody goes, but I saw these written down one day and it brought back many memories of a certain night that I`d go back to all the time (although it wasn`t December). And now, I am swallowing my pride and saying sorry for that night because it turns out that freedom is nothing but missing him, and wishing I knew that when he was already mine. <3 hurrah for second chances.
